Having fun trying to get just the right amount of blur, a little less here perhaps?

    Comments welcome and appreciated!!

For me with that sharp eye and head ,the blurred wings give one a real feel of flight and make this not only a beautiful but most interesting image

Neat effect Lance, thought this this looked like 2nd curtain flash? (guess the blur would be in the other direction if it was)

That is one fun image !!! Neat !!! If you can do over might try for a little less but those are just tough to judge .. you are dependent on the speed of the bird and sometimes they put on the afterburners :)

I like how the body, head and eye are sharp while the rest is blur to give movement. The ghosting effect of the near wing give me a feeling of flapping which is really nice. Just wish that the blur on the head doesn't' lead in front of the bird.

Another stunning image, Lance ! I like it, of course. Why it's stunning? Because it's a swallow in flight ! :D

lance, this is too cooL!!!!! i like the blur. isnt it true that if you used rear curtain flash, the front of the bird would be sharp instead of blurry like this one? might add that to your experiments if i'm right!!
