This is an old image of pelicans on a beach just after the rains. I used multiple layers - adjusting levels, saturation, applying a warm photo filter, blending a DAP version and finally using a mask to expose the underlying front pelican. Hope you like it.

I like it Indranil. Love the subdued colors and the reflection. The effect of the one bird being in focus is nice. I would be tempted to evict the light blob in the URC. It tends to pull my eye away from the lovely birds.

I think that is really nice Indranil! Super repost. You have all the attention on those birds and their reflections. Beautiful!

Indranil, I like the soft rainy day feel to this and the monochromatic look. Nice repost. Some separation between the back bird whose head is intersecting the one in front may be good-but the overall look to the image is very nice. I like it alot. Well done.

I like the repost. The effect is very nice. I may be tempted to remove the 2 birds in the rear since you cannot see their heads.

Hi Indranil, Nice feel to the image using the sepia tone. Agree with Nick regarding the removal of the 2 rear birds.

I love the tones in the photo and I like first one better than the repost.

love the repost....one of your best ever images IMO.
Would not remove the rear pelicans, but soften and lighten them a bit more.
They are an integral part of the comp, but just a bit too prominent. Keeping
the forward pelican in natural coloration is a brilliant idea. Might give the main
bird a bit more work on the head, especially defining the eye area and keep that
bit of orange bill verrrrrry prominent

    all IMHO

Thanks Dave. Appreciate it a lot. Here is another repost with lightening the rear pelicans and adding a small Gaussian blur. Also reworked the eye and bill of the lead pelican and added a bit of saturation...

It has come together into a winning image IMO.
