Nice image James. Not only an unusual specimen but great enviroment. Very nice natural looking composition and nice soft lighting. On my monitor the neck area seems to have a orangish tone. Is that a natural coloration for the bear or could it be blood discoloration from a recent snack?

About what size is this bear?

Extraordinary specimen James. Very well done for your find. Great atmosphere with the weather too. Like your comp and raised paw. Well done.

Superb. I like the environmental portrait. The rain imparts a nice feel to the image. Can you please include some information about this species?

Although not too clued up on bears, this guy looks a cross between a polar bear and a brown bear - either way, cool looking guy. I like the surrounding enviroment, and the weather adds to the image. I like this lots.

I believe the orange tone is natural it is a white morph black bear.

These bears are white Black Bears it's a genetic morph that actually gives them an advantage when fishing.

    Jimmy,

Way to go! You all amazed me with your determination and perseverance, shooting this Spirit bear in the pouring rain.

    Well seen and taken.

A very nice environmental image, Jim.
I lived near an Island known for these bears in northern BC for 33 years, and during that time I only saw one of these bears.
