A very serious life or death stuggle but really funny to watch. This morning this Fiddler Crab did not want to be breakfast for this White Ibis. I would not let go no matter what and landed back in the water.
The light was great and I was able to make a lot of good images but this one illustrated an interesting behavior on the part of the crab so I though I would share.

Very interesting behavior, pose and angle. Thanks for sharing the story. Maybe a bit more room at the bottom for the virtual leg.

Great image, Robert. love the story behind it. The soft light and pale BG really make the colours stand out.

Nice pose, I agree with comment above, a little more room at the bottom.

Robert your images never fail to amaze me. The long legs and talons/toes reaching up to control the crab are what make it for me.
