    Yes folks, I choose to go to Shenandoah National Park to try to capture peak foliage and this was the result ....

    self portrait taken yesterday morning .... 26 degrees ... at Skyland Lodge within the park.

    ... btw we had a cold front hit our area and dipped below 80 !!!! :)

    Alfred, I did mention that I was in Virginia right? It's not supposed to snow there until November.

    It was great fun to shoot though and the kids played in it giving me time to shoot...

    I know Mike and it doesn't snow all that much either !! Winter seems to be early !! At Yellowstone it was about the same, fall got wiped put by the time we got back to Jackson !!! Glad we did some color before !!!

    Wonderful self-portrait Michael. Sorry that you were confronted with snow when you were looking for fall foliage but I am sure you will capture some beauties anyway. Safe travels !!!

    Michael, that is my worst nightmare! I'm planning a trip this same time next year...let's hope it gets this out of its system! I'm sorry you lost out, though...I bet those images would have been gorgeous!
