The branches on my maple tree popped with color this afternoon. I created an image looking up through the filtered branches catching the light as it came through. I painted over a few darker areas (short twigs) using the eye dropper to select a close color and then painted over the dark parts with a soft brush. Next, I added both a 'Simplifier' action and an 'Illustrated' action. I then added a touch of the filter 'pointillize' and some canvas relief. Finally I adjusted the color channels to bring out even more of the yellow, red and greens and then boosted the midtones one last time in levels. This is what I came up with...
