I like the light, eye contact, sharpness and BG. I wish the near wing were a bit higher up.

I really like this one Doug. I love the BG, and especially the OOF tree coming up from the bottom...very cool!

Loverly. Is this a bird from this year???

There was a huge red cast corrected with the Average Blur Color Balance trick at 100%.

PS; Now the bird is gray as it should be Also blackened the pupil and sharpened the face with a QM contrast mask. All as in Digital Basics of course.

A huge BTW: Gary was the head Animal and Director of this year's Bosque Open Windows Volunteer Project. See here for a picture of his accomplices and additional details:

Gary and the group deserve a huge round of applause for their hard work and selflessness.

Super eye contact and nice sharpness Gary! The BG says Bosque winter. I like what Artie did with the repost, but I didn't mind the color cast all that much.

Thanks Artie that does look better. It was from mid march. I've been doing some house cleaning. The number of Sandhills is growing each day. At last count there were ~1000.
Thanks for the nice words about the clean up. It was a great party and we are looking forward to next year.

YAW Gary, I hope to be able to make it again next year. I can't wait to see you planting corn. Did you get any thank you notes from the Bulletin?
