A while back I was advised not to keep a reflection unless you got the whole bird. This time I think I got it.

HI Michael Neat looking bird and like the capture, would lighten the reflection and work on the eye. Catchlight seems very large.

For these is best to focus on the eye itself to make it sharp, seems the sharpest part is around the shoulder. I normally feel your better with a sharp eye and area around it !!! .. ID wise looks like it !!!

I like the exposure techs the eye needs work. If your ethics allow I would rebuild it. Reflection are so subjective, IMO this is ok - do you like it?

Great advice from AL - eye does look like it needs a little work.
    Like the ruffled look.

Well, I did a little work on the eye and I tried to lighten the reflection. Is this any better?

This is much better Michael as far as the reflection goes, the eye need a tad more darkening and selective sharpening...

Nice shot Michael, I think there is a post in ER about making a catchlight if your ethics allow.

I like your repost. A sharp eye is a very big plus in an image. I also like the little fluffed look. Wish the reflection's back is not so hunched due to the water ripple.
