this was originally a zoo/through the glass image that I painted
in DAP with a pencil AOP. Back in photoshop, ran Redfield's Fractalius
filter and boosted a bit of sat and revealed the eye

Thanks for looking in and c/c
Will likely be posting Fractalius images all week

Nice sense of texture and design. I like the program. The effect is neat! Color boost looks good. I look forward to more of your Fractalius images.

Wonderful image Dave! I love how it looks like a big snake ball with an eye.

Dave, I like the colors, patterns and filters applied. I get the sense that the eye is looking to the right and (facing the front of the snake) If so I would have liked to have seen more in that direction rather than the rear.

Neat treatment and colours Dave. I like that I can't see the whole snake because I am scared to death of them, even in photos. Like the orange and cream tones accented with the black lines,..... there I don't have to look anymore:)

Agree about the eye looking forward but the detail and color is fabulous. Excellent work.

    thank you for comments friends.
Dave and Ed, I am a bit baffled about the eye comments......a dense moment
for me here. Can either of you explain exactly or show me relative to "looking right"?

I "think" you may not be seeing the snake and head correctly

Dave, I love the texture, colors and the patterns of this image. I was skimming through OOTB at work last
week and saw one of your images that had "fractalius" in the description and thought it was something from
Harry Potter:o I've now gone to the website and it looks like a really neat plug in. I can hardly wait to see
    more!

The front of the head appears to be on the right side of the eye.(at least thats how I see it) I would have preferred more space in front then in back of the eye.

Interesting. I still get the impression that the mouth is in the middle of the frame (left of the eye). Maybe Dave will chime in.

The texture and colors are outstanding. I like the first post the best.

Ah, now the original post makes sense to me. I think the "issue" is that you knew what you started with - the last image posted. So the position of the eye in the first image made perfect sense to you. When I looked at it, I was seeing a much tighter close-up of the head and eye and nothing else. In that case, it looked like the "snout" would be to the right (when in fact it is to the left and the perspective is pulled back a bit more than my eye was originally seeing).

    Make sense?

Neat image at every step! The color and detail that you achieved really is amazing considering what/where you started (snake behind glass - best place for snakes to be!)
