    This is a colour version of a previous sepia post of mine (http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php?t=46121)...I originally converted to 2-tone because the colours of the surrounding foliage was distracting. I revisited it and boosted the contrast until the lion stood out significantly enough for me.

    Did I overdo it?

    Techs:
    Canon 1000D with 100-400mm L IS USM @ 400mm
    f6.3 @ 1/500 SS @ ISO-800

    Bothj are lovely and very majestic looking with a pleasing composition. I agree with above comments but love the feeling in this capture. Thanks for sharing Morkel.

    You are the master at B&W mate, so I feel your OP works better than this one. In this, the face is overdone a tad. Make no mistake, its great to give everything a try.
