    Default Wigeon Portrait

As Gary Rouleau said in his recent post... It's fall in Albuquerque so we have some beautiful water and Wigeons. This portrait is full frame. This guy was calling for his mate. I liked the open beak pose and the nice close portrait.

The green in the water is the reflection from a cottonwood tree.

    Thx for your thoughts.

Keith, wonderful exposure and detail. I like it a lot. Beware of the HA police they are out there.

Nothing like getting all of your pixels on a handsome Wigeon calling out! Super sharp. Be careful hand holding that 500...you might get addicted to it!

Very lovely head shot with lots of detail. BG is very nice and the green strips compliment his colors nicely although the bit behind his head looks like you used the smudge tool in PS a little too strongly. Congrats

Love the colors, the sharpness, and the open bill. Where? It seems on the early side for wigeon.
