A lot of bird images I take here in Nova Scotia in winter have a multitude of bare branches all over the place, frequently out of focus, and often in front of the bird. Here's a male Pine Grosbeak the other day, with the overall image marred by this problem. I have spent a lot of time trying to clone out a lot of these branches and out of focus blobs, but I don't think I have done a very good job. I'll post a couple of others later, that may be better. Any advice on how to do it properly, or other comments?
(Details - image taken with D300, Tamron 200-500, hand-held, ISO 1600, jpeg fine, 1/2000, f6.3, spot-metered - Alfred, I'll take your advice and shoot in Raw in future).
Thanks,
Richard
