Dear all
This is picture of rangoli created by my better half
Rangoli is one of the most popular art forms in India. It is a form of sandpainting decoration that uses finely ground white and coloured powders, and is commonly done outside homes in India.
The term rangoli is derived from the words rang (colour) and aavalli ('coloured creepers' or 'row of colours').
All commnets are welcome and much appreciated

Its beautiful Harshad...it's outer boundary is an octagon and the mid area has four sides leading into a perfect circle of 360 degrees...what religious meaning or perhaps symbol is this, and what do the individual colors stand for?
Red, orange , green are colors of God in Hinduisam
Symbol in center is of PANATI ( Small earthern lamp of which fuel is edible oil and kept in temples)
Congratulations to your wife Harshad. She definitely is a very talented lady and my sincere thanks to you for sharing this beautiful art work with us. Your whole family must be very talented !!!!!
