I had taken this image a week ago late in the day. The settings were -

    40D, Sigma 50-500mm @ 500mm, EX 580 II, BetterBeamer, Handheld
1/250 sec, f/7.1 Mode: Av Metering: Evaluative Exp comp: +1/2 ISO: 400

Cleaned-up few branches in the front. Adjusted for levels, saturation and selective colors. Applied usm. All c&c will be appreciated...

Good detail on the little guy, and captured in lovely light. Colourful looking perch, and I would maybe blend in the lighter area middle top. Repost does look better.

Repost definitely looks sharper. Love the light and BG on this one, as well as the leichen on the perch. I do find the right side of the perch a bit distracting for such a small bird. Lovely exposure too.

    Hi Indy
You could clean up the LRC a little, as I too find it a bit bothersome. The repost looks mighty find mate! I do find the bright OOF trunk behind the bird a little dominant and taking a step (or two) to the right may have helped better the comp (by excluding that OOF trunk). Lovely light and good sharpness. :)
