Good exposure on the blacks, and love the pose of the crow on the left. Interesting to see the nictitating membrane.

Excellent job with the exposure and details in the blacks! Love the textured perch. The eye is an interesting fact of nature -- but I find it distracting (imo).

As much as I like the poses and perches very much, I agree on the eye taking away some of the beauty. However, it works if you are looking for more than just the perfect pose. Love the textures and design of the perch, and the little bit of color on them really works.

    Hi Arsdel

I really like the pose and texture in the perch. The blacks are exposed well and its pleasing to see a photograph of a species that many might overlook. The eye membrane I find a bit distracting.

    Cheers

    Hi Arsdel

I think it is a nice comp with great exposure. I also find the covered eye a bit distracting, but that is what happened and from a natural history representation perspective it is a great illustration. :) I love that perch!
