This was taken early morning when the light was still low and both the bull and cow were wandering in the woods. It presented a few problems with the exposure since the moose are so dark. She is quite a contrast to the bull with the large antlers and massive body. A real thrill to experience them in the wild.

Great light, serene mood and good sharpness and composition. I might tone down the highlights a little bit.

Great composition and beautiful light captured here Judy... I agree about maybe toning down the highlights some, but great as is... glad to see a moose cow getting a post in the forum! ;-)

Judy, the light in this is simply stunning. Good sharp detail captured, and love the softer colours in the BG. Great image.

Very nice Judy, I agree with Alex also above the shoulder top of frame there is a distracting bright spot.

This has such a great feel to it Judy, I'm gonna stick my neck out a vote for keeping as is. The light playing on various leaves and branches all add to a great shot. Sometimes the tiny imperfections make a shot and are the difference between a polished shot and one that pushes the emotive side. A fine line, and have no issues, but the creation of emotion is paramount. By the way. A side track. :). Just love that signature line of Dennis. :D

Exposure is perfect Judy. Just enough to keep the new winter coat shining.

Glad you all had wonderful time.

She's a beauty, I like how you composed this and included lots of habitat which adds so much interest.
