    Beauty capture Mital.
great timing indeed! Very sharp and well exposed. In a perfect world the light might've been more behind you, but it does not appear overly harsh anyway.

    yep graham.

it was really harsh way to me and a bit steep angle for us as we were passing by and this fella enjoying there so we stopped and start clicking moments. wish for better low angle and proper light angle too but this is how we cant do in some cases for Wildlife to have.

Although I agree that a lower angle would have been nice, I have to say that you must have superb reactions, my friend!!

Mital, couldn't ask for a better action shot man. Very sharp and his eye looks great. Sure the light angle could have been better but this is still a fantastic image.

    Hi Mital,
because of the sun angle.....you could try bringing out the shadows a bit more......but as I am an action junkie......just super capture on the toss!

Incredible timing, Mital, love the action and compo. I think it could go a bit lighter.

I like the BE pose, and well timed to capture the dragonfly just before it goes down the hatch. Well exposed colours on the BE too. Congrats, a fine image.

As mentioned, impeccable timing on your part. The action is nicely frozen. I know there is no control over this, but I could just imagine if the insect was pointing towards us instead!! I would just crop a smidgen at left to hide the perch tip being cut off. Congrats on a fine image Mital!

would have been loved to lighten a bit but that would impose some noise on the branch and underparts of the BE so i kept the shadows as is as i thought increasing noise would attract attention rather on BE's pose and moment.

Superb timing and sharpness, Mital. Fill flash can be useful in these harsh light situations. Very well done.

thanks tony .. yeah it can be possible to do fill flash but as routine practice here in INDIA we have no allowance for flash in any of sanctuary or park so we dont carry an flash with us. dont know if the built in camera flash would help but yes i could have tried it out no body watching me there :)

Didn't realise you had restrictions. On camera flash wouldn't have done much:(

Loverly. But for the large perch. The repost is lighter and tighter.

Really one of the better Bee Eater feeding shots I've seen in terms of capturing the moment Mital! Artie's repost addresses all of the issues I had and takes this image to the next level.

I'm not up on my Indian insects but looks like the bee-eater may have misidentified his prey. Otherwise an awesome capture (by bird and photographer).
