    Default Peaceful Dove

Captured from my bag hide. Where my better half rides, there are Peaceful Doves that I often hear and see so I used audio to attract the bird close to me, but did not set-up a perch. I placed the speaker as close to the branch I wanted it to land on as possible. I stood about 5m away in my hide waiting a few minutes. It came, it sat and I stopped playing, then it began to preen so sweetly.

30D, 300/1.4x, ISO 400, f/8, 1/1000th, HH, fill flash used, 80% of original. I cropped some branches from the RHS and cloned a little knob from the perch in the LLC. Hope you like it!

Nice one Akos! They are such lovely little birds and you got this one well. I think a touch of NR in the BG would help.

Hey Bro, I like the separation of the feathers, and would maybe tone down the hot spot on the chest. Your audio certainly worked. Well done mate.

I just love this image from the slight hint of turquoise by the beak to the pink claws. You've captured the tail fanning out beautifully and caught exactly the right moment with the preening.

Very sweet birds. Love the plumage detail and eye make-up. Fill flash has worked well.

Beautiful Akos, I find photographing doves difficult because they look somewhat boring but here you did well showing a less usual pose and lots of details!

    Hi Akos,
Interesting pose and the fanned tail do add. I like that you can make out both eyelids too. I am debating a little less room behind (you know my love of the crop tool!) and maybe a touch more in front.....but nice moment captured

Akos, I like the sweet pose and the details in the feathers. I might tone down some of the bright spots. Very nicely seen w/ this one!

Nice one Akos - love the fanned tail and nice detail. Obviously wasn't too stressed by the audio.

    cheers
