I like the overall look of the image, exposure looks good. Looks a little soft on my monitor. Personal prefence wold be a bit more room on the bottom and a tad less on top.
Agree with Bill on the crop. The rim lighting is nice on the animal but I find it distracting in the BG which looks electrified. I would try desaturating the BG some.
I think this guy's size worked against him in this head-lowered pose. The head gets lost in the body and the sheer size and spread of the rack makes me think something is missing in between them. I also like the logs and flowers in front but agree that the greens look a bit to "electric".

Less that ideal lighting but I think you pulled it off well. The BG as mentioned looks a bit hot.. I think shooting from a lower angle would give you a better image all around. I almost always try to photograph wildlife from below their eye level. And as mentioned a little more room all around would be nice...
