    Default Ruby-crowned Kinglet glancing back.

This cute little fella looks like it was teasing me before taking off again...and being perpetually on the move it was rather teasing to have it pose for a long 0.4 seconds!:D . Audio used to get it closer and in the clear.

    Canon 40D + 100-400L @400mm, aperture priority, evaluative metering, 1/500s., f/7.1, ISO 500, no EC, natural light, handheld, about 75% full-frame.

Sounds like this is a little busy bee., :D Wish the BG didn't have that distinct split in color, but the bird is gorgeous as is the perch itself. Good work mate. Well done. :)

You must be getting really good with your bird set-up Daniel, the 400 is really not that much reach. Like everything about it, especially its' simplicity with few elements in the shot.

Very nice species and head turn. The BG is complementary but I guess it needs some NR. Also, in front of the chest and belly, seems like you cloned something, may be not, is just that there's a color separation there. Very good image any how.

Awesome pose on this little fellow. I really like the shot. BG could use some work but easily handled.

Just plain great, the perch pose BG with multiple colors.
And they move a lot. Congratulations!

Top shot with all of the bird in crisp focus. I don't mind the bg because the bird is what gets my attention.

Im amazed at the shape and size of these guys - little fluff balls with wings. Lovely pose, and I like the two tone BG. I can see this as a vertical.

    Hi Daniel,
Super perch and sharpnes. I'm torn on the BG.....great colors and don't mind the 2 tone...do wonder if a bit more of a blend would soften the line?
    All in all nicely done!

Nicely done.. I like the "portrait" lighting this guy. Not loving the BG but not much you can do.. these are quiet the ADD birdies.

    Great shot Dan!
A frustrating bird to photograph and you caught him in a sweet pose. Don't mind the two-tone BG at all, though I am curious what caused it.
