    A shot taken this past winter as I have seen this species of duck moving in for the winter they still have a ways
    to go in looking this pretty as they have begun molting into breeding plumage....:)

    Nice! I have yet to ever get close enough to one of these guys for a worthwhile image as they are WAY too skittish around here. I wouldn't mind a bit off the bottom, and I would fix the pupil a bit (the lower extended part of the catchlight should go). Great low angle.

    I was also wondering about the pupil. However, love the angle and beautiful presentation. Well done James. :)

    James, These are always too far for me too. I love the low angle and the sharpness of the bill.

    Wow, look at that bill. Very nice, great bird, angle,
    in my monitor the whites are bit bright, perhaps you
    could tone them down a bit. Congrats!

    Well exposed detail James, especially around the head. I like the soft light and colours, and agree with Dan to take a bit off the bottom.

    Hi James,
    Very nice details in the bill area. I'm in agreement with Daniel on the bottom crop too. All in all nicely composed and captured!
