Slow day; came across this in my files from this Spring when I was practicing with my new lens on easy targets. Not sure why the high ISO; I think I was trying for geese in flight when I came across this family scene and forgot to adjust.

    C&C appreciated.

Hi Bill - sweet family portrait - Good HA and eye contact on both parent and chick. On my screen the white on the parents breast looks a little bright.
A lower shooting angle might have also been worth a shot here.
    Good show :)

Love it Bill, about all I would do is desaturate the green !!! Looks a bit electric but what a sweet image Perfect pose for both and great feel !!!

Thanks. Here's a version with the greens desaturated by about 25%. After I took this, I tried to get down on my stomach for a lower shot but the adult started hissing at me, so I backed off. I did get a very cute shot of just the gosling from a lower angle and closer in.

I like the family portrait. Agree with the techs. you have very sharp details and good head angles...your final repost looks good...keep them coming...

Bill, ISO seem high to me but I shot Canon. Love the composition and image clarity: f5 at 1/1600 is a good exposure. Al's repost is better for me. The grass was too bright for me. When you look at the OP the grass almost over powers the image. I had the same problem with Cardinals and learned to de-sat the Red about -10 on my dial - great work - keep em coming.
