    Canon 1D Mark III
    Canon 300 f.2,8 + extender 2x
    1/2000
    iso 800
    f.5,6
    Off course with a more long lens could better..but when I go out in holiday I have problem to carry lens ..so I use 2x..
    The photo was very difficult because it was late in the afternoon and the sky no good...but the moment could be particular.
    Another problem use iso high to have nore speed...

    I like the take-off pose, dangling feet and the prey adds to it. The bird looks a bit soft on my monitor, is it a heavy crop?

    No it is only a little crop

    Hi!
    Great pose and action shot. You might crop a little from the bottom to balance out the composition. I would also lighten it slightly and give it a contrast boost.
