    Default Juvenile Semipalmated Sandpiper

Took this image the first week of September and forgot all about it. He/she was hopping around and only stopped for a quick moment on the barnacle covered rock. I new he was heading there so I positioned myself in anticipation with the perfect warm light angle and everything went as planned (for once).;)

Had to do some noise reduction and burned some of the barnacles as they were a bit bright for my tastes. Cropped just a sliver top and right for better comp. Hope you like it. Shorebirds are a pleasure to photograph bye the way.

I like the perch, sharpness, head angle and exposure control and only wish for a slightly more even BG in the upper left.

Hi Brian, super pose and HA, and like the detail and overall colours. I would maybe blend in the light spot top middle. Well captured.

Brian, Really nice pose ,details and HA. I like the barnacle covered rock and think it is a nice touch. Might tone down the dark spots in the BG just a bit. The blue is very beautiful.

Beautiful Brian, everything looks nice. I would crop a bit from top or blend the spot in the middle top edge.

Very nice indeed! I too would tone down the bright spot at the top but that's very minor.

I'd be tempted to crop below the brownish smudge in the ULC and the bright blob in the middle. Otherwise a wonderful effort mate. Love it! Good work!

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. I tried getting rid of the dark spots but am not that good when it comes to cloning out big areas. I'm going to have to take a whole day to sit down and practice with my Digital Basics file. It's hard to concentrate here with the toddler running around harassing me all day.:D;)
