    Default Ibis with Sand Crab

This white ibis had just found a sand crab?, and was separating himself from the rest of the feeding ibis to avoid having it stolen from him. Taken early morning at Tigertail Beach, on Marco Island. All C & C welcome!

Mike, this is a really striking image! The whites are well controlled, the posture is great, the only minor point is the slight softness on the bill and face. I see you used a really high shutter speed - was this in anticipation of action? An option might have been to lower the shutter speed and use a higher aperture for more DoF?

wished for more space all around and a little selective sharpening on the face, but loved the moment captured, very beautifully exposed, and the crab is a big bonus, congrats...

Nice action captured. The soft bill/head has been mentioned. Nice exposure! But could benefit from more space especially for the virtual legs. JR
