    Hi Gerald,
I like the pose and the BG very much. Might just be me but maybe a bit oversharpened???? Love the red eye and catchlight. Very nice.

Hi Gerard - Like the pose and the eye contact - love that red eye.

A little tight for my tastes or the crop doesn't quite work - eye is pretty much nearly centre of the frame might try and see what other options are available - thinking ROT.
BG looks a little bright - might just darken it a tad.
    Does look a tad over-sharpened.

Looking forward to seeing more :)

    Hi Gerard,
I like the capture. You have direct eye contact and I like the slanted pose...the feathers are a tad over sharpened...looking forward to your next one...

Hi Gerard I might try sharpening on a layer to affect only the eye area. I find close up views with lots of oof areas don't do well after sharpening.

It is a peculiar crop but have been looking at it for a while and feel is the best possible, excellent eye contact !!!
