Pictures of aquarium fish in an aquarium on the ground floor of a several story building are rather tricky, especially when flash is forbidden.
This picture was taken with a Pentax K10D and 18-55 kit lens @ 18mm focal length.
1600 ISO 1/45 sec @ F3.5 Plus 0.5 EV and Spot metered.
In retrospect I now see that should have used multi-segment metering.

It looks to me that this is a tough metering situation. I like the overall composition but would have preferred the head to be in as much light as the body, as is it blends into the background.
Hi Ian, I selected the darker part via quick mask and ran some curves on it to bring more light in. Selected the rock and did away with the fin.
Lovely light and attractive image.
Thanks Bill & Robert I now recognise need for well lit head in these pictures so this will be a priority.
Fabs: A huge thanks for your edit and advice of the steps taken.
Haven't tried any masking yet but see it is available in my version of Photoshop Elements.
Wonderful job of editing out the foreground fin.
