    Taken last August, the beginning of the autumn migration.
    From my first days in a hide.
    ~ 90% of the original file. 20D, 400/f5.6
    Iso 400, 1/1250, f6.3, -0.67

    I like the light, angle, sharpness and the droplets and wish the dark band behind the neck/bill were a bit lighter.

    I like the low angle, light, and the overall colours, and the droplets certainly add to the image. Good feather detail too.

    Gal, What I like about your images is the lovely light you always manage. Nice details and low angle. I agree w/ toning down the dark strip. Nicely presented.

    Hey Gal, Love the light and the sharpness and the water drops. If you had been able to get a lot lower, this would have been even better.

    This is a worn, molting adult; are you able to sex the bird?

    Arthur, I had a hunch about the sex, but still asked for some help from a good friend, a top brider.
    I belive this is a worn molting male (between summer and winter plumage).

    Thanks Gal, I was thining male though I have limited experience with this species. There are lots of plain gray feathers in the folded wing; those are the new winter or basic feathers.
