    Canon 7D 500 F4 1.4 converter 400 ISO 1\3200 @ 5.6 I no I clipped the wing but it was a grab shot i just pointed the camera at the suject and fired very imprest with the results

    The clipped wing is pretty much an image killer, plus the heron is flying away from you. Good sharpness and exposure for a grab shot, now go back and nail a perfect one!

    You've nailed your exposure and sharpness. Now you need to work on getting the bird while it's flying towards you. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks the only reason i showed the image is because all the talk of the auto focus on the 7 D witch i think is great thanks Brad

    Didn't notice that you shot the image with a 7D. I agree with you that the 7D's AF is top notch. I've got a ton of images to post from a couple of days in Southern California with the 7D last week.

    Ya right on Doug I love the camera for all the bad talk about it I think its great .Thats why i posted that shot I never been able to just shoot like that with any of my other cameras 20D 40D markIIn and nail it ??
