    Default Adult Osprey with Chick

This image was captured during our trip to the Everglades in February 2009. A lot of pixels were expended to get the chick visible along with the adult.

Canon 40D with 300 f4 and 1.4 tc. Manual exposure at ISO 400 with EV 0 and f8 and 1/640 hand held. Full frame. Shadows/highlight used to enhance sky and bring out wing detail. I spent a lot of time cloning and quick-masking to delete some sticks from in front of the chick. Does this look okay?

    Thanks for looking. Comments welcome.

Love the pose of the adult, you did a good job in bring out the underwing details. Good HA and eye contact of the chick, a very clean job in cloning out the sticks. Wish the light was more ideal and the stick on the right side of the nest wasn't cut off. Also a bit more blue in the sky would help.

Wonderful nest image. I like the raised wings and details.
