I like the soft light, setting and eye contact. The food item adds to it. The near wing looks a bit noisy, was the RAW file underexposed?

How was the shorebird situation today?

I like it a lot. The light is lovely and the feather detail is great. The bird is noisy so you might want to try a gentle NR. The eye looks a little funky. Any work done there?

By the way, the "seagull" looks to me like a first year Herring Gull given the overall dark grey colouration.

Axel, No the raw file was not underexposed. Not alot of shorebirds

John, No eye work -just lightened a very little. I should have run some NR. Thanks for the ID.

Great action, sharpness, exposure and composition. Background is perfectly smooth but still recognizable to indicate the habitat - great. JR
