    I don't post a lot of gull images, but I love the how the hint of sunlight illuminates this bird's head.

    I like the lighting and sharpness. Nice composition and eye contact.

    Interesting mood and composition. Have to admit that I wish for a bit more sharpness around the head. JR

    Sweet light Doug, with lovely warm colours from the early morning light. The light is cast perfectly on the head. You seem to have the 7D sorted, and BTW, whats wrong with gulls.;)

    Doug, what settings were you using for a/f? how did you meter btw? My experience at last light not too good....

    Michael, I used evaluative metering and AF point expansion set to the center of the frame.

    That golden light really shines nicely on this Gulls head it sure adds to the mood. Excellent shot Doug.
