    Great capture of the action Paolo but it is really just the sharpness that is letting this image down.
    Nice fast shutter speed but the bird does'nt look as clear as it should.
    I think the composition needs a bit more room around the bird (especially on the right) and it does'nt really work as a vertical.

    my guess is that you underexposed in camera and had to bring it up during editing. Way too much noise present for ISO 1000 with the MKIII.

    You have captured a wild pose here! I would like to see more room in front and agree that the original was probably under-exposed.

    I would like to see this as a horizontal with the reflection cropped out as I feel it doesn't add to the image. Good timing , just wish it were sharper.

    Funny pose and good action...looks like the water is a little too hot! This seems to be a large-ish crop? - that could explain some of the IQ issues.

    P.S. Images should not be more than 800 pixels high (1024 is OK horizontally) nor should they exceed 200kb ;-)
