    Hi Everyone!
Here is a picture that I liked from a recent flying visit to Florida. I had forgotten just how fast these little wind-up toys can move...:D:eek:
All comments and critiques are much appreciated.
    Best regards to all,
    Nicki

Hi Nicki, I like it! I really like the pose as I find it both interesting and comical. I also like the high-key look of the image. There is just enough land to keep the bird from appearing to float in space. Your exposure looks good to my eye. I was going to suggest exploring cropping a bit off behind and below the bird. However, I gave it a quick look in photoshop but wasn't sure I like it any better than your presentation so I default to artist. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi Gary and Phil!
Thank you so much for your very kind words. Phil, I do normally crop close, but decided that I liked the sense of space in this one!
    Best,
    Nicki

Glad you kept the space and the slight bit of ground for a base. Wonderful high key look and feel.

Unique pose, I haven't seen a photograph of a shorebird in this particular stance :-) I love the high key feel, with just a bit of a difference to delimit the beach. I wouldn't mind it a bit tighter, but I also understand your reasoning for the kept space.

Terrific pose Nicki, and I like the high-key look. The crop works for me. I might make the blacks a little blacker.

Nicki --Sincerely this is awesome! The little trail leading to his feet and pose makes this shot rock. Wonderful comp and conception. Never have seen one like it that's for sure.

How creative. Perhaps a tad more contrast? Big congrats on a unique image. JR
