I like the pose, soft light, perch and BG. Maybe a bit of NR on the BG and I would sharpen the body and head of the bird some more.

Looks good to me. Sharp, nice perch and background, and I like the wing tip blur. Not sure, but the beak looks ever so slightly soft? Probably just me. Might be the angle or small image size.

    Hi Joe,
I am enjoying this image very much - I love the pose and the perch and the soft BG colours work very well for me.
    Regards,

Joe, This is a well designed image. I like the perch and the pose very much. BG colors are great. I could go either way w/ the sharpening.

I love the overall feel to this image, and the comp is perfect. To my eye the face and chest/belly do suffer a bit from subject motion blur (see compared to the perch). Still, great timing on your part.

You're definitely on the right track Joe. The missing ingredient here was more ambient light; more shutter speed would have helped you nail this one.

Really love the image. Composition, exposure, background, pose... Yes, there is a bit of motion blur but still a fantastic image IMO. Congrats, JR

Super timing. The perch pose and BG are sweet. Agree on another round of sharpening.

I like the take off pose, and a cool looking perch too. I like the light, and agree to maybe sharpen him a tad. Well captured Joe.
