Very powerful image Peter! Love it! Comp, sharpness and spot lighting are great. Only wish that the lighting had been natural for better color, but this is fine!

Lovely chiaroscuro effect. I may have done this vertically, but still very dramatic!

    Peter,

    Pretty cool and dramatic effect.
FYI-- should you so desire...you can feather the shadow edge by subtly moving the light around during the exposure. Additionally, spot metering in Av or manual if you have the time works well with this technique.

    Best,

    Chas

Very dramatic!. I really like the mood from the darkness and the emerging face of the leopard. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, Thanks Chas for the tips.

Lots of impact with the lighting you've captured here... I like it as a vertical crop even more.

This shows what can be done when out spot lighting, love the image. I am happy with the crop the way it is, gives the leopard something to move into. Charles, interesting tip for feathering the spot also, hope to be able to use it one of these days.

Great image and another fine example of what can be achieved with a spotlight, now that we have very usable high ISO speeds.

So much better than the harshness of flash!
