    Nice catch by your bird. Good angle in the frame for the bird, you mentioned the feather clipping.

    To my eye the image is a bit soft, esp. noticeable on the eye. The whites have lost detail at the base of the wing and on top of the head, browns look good.

    This is the first image I have seen from the D3000. What do you think about it, particularly the autofocus?

    I like the wing position and the fish adds to it. Too bad about the clipped wings and I would tone down the whites and desaturate the sky a few points.

    Comments mentioned are all good points. I just wish the fish were sharper.

    Love the pose and exposure seems good. I'd crop the wings tighter (Artie's: crop don't clip) and put the focus on the body and fish. Needs more sharpness though. JR
