Although I have posted a few images in between, here is another angle of the lioness getting stuck into the carcass of the giraffe. Taken in the Kruger National Park, in overcast conditions.

Here is the link to the first one in the series.

Another interesting capture. Wish you had moved the camera to the left to include more of the action. Overcast was great!

The pose and eyes really as well as the alert tail all come together to make this a most interesting image. Fine work !!

An amazing moment you've captured here Stuart... makes me wonder what's all left of that giraffe carcass outside of the frame. If mine, I might crop some from the right and eliminate the vegetation there to put even more emphasis on the lioness. Great stuff!

Good one. I agree that having more space at the right doesn't add to the image. This would have also worked as a vertical.

Super shot Stu. Overcast suits this and those eyes. Not sure on the right but reframing for the left might have been messy, :).

Thank you all for the great feedback.

I was aware of the open space on the right. By cropping that away, the comp would have been too square. I wanted to show the surrounding bush.

Sabya, a vertical would work. Great idea. I have others to play with.
