    We know winter is on the way when we find these little Guillemots getting their winter plumage ,Taken a couple of weeks ago while checking out what birds where beginning to turn up in our local waters.Photographed from our little tin boat

    A touch brighter and a little bit of sharpening around the head would bring this image out a bit.

    I like the look-back pose, calm water and exposure control. I wish the body were angled toward you more and would selectively sharpen the head. I think you could have stopped down to f/8 for wider DOF.
