    This was a large crop, lots of noise from the D80, did blur in BG. There are plenty of these guys around
    but they are not easy to approach.

    beautiful BG, perch balances the photo well and I like the crop. Photo is too small to judge sharpness/detail. Please post a larger version.

    I like the feel in this shot and the comp. too. Probably best that we don't see a larger version coz I'm sure there are a few flaws with sharpness and noise but that comes with the territory when you crop tightly like this.

    I like the composition, light and eye contact and might blur the BG a bit more. Another vote for a larger image.

    Great pose and background!

    Like the small in the frame pano approach with this perch but would like to see a bit more room on the right along with moving the bird down in the frame a bit (i.e. less room on bottom and more on top) to better emphasize the diagonal of the perch.
