    Greetings to All,
This is an image I got late late in the afternoon and was able to capture the sunset...along with the Ibis's having a discussion! I hope you like it and ALL comments and suggestions welcomed!

WOW. This is such a spectacular shot that I had to write!
    I like everything about it.
Did you use a fill flash here?

I absolutely love it just the way it is, but if I had to try a couple of things with this image I would
    - try adding about a quarter inch on the top
    - the bottom right oof vegatation that has a smudgy look.
    - add a catchlight on the ibis on the left

Boy doesn't this remind me of a shot I missed many years ago because I was blabbing. Just like this only two white egrets fighting in the air. I take it you have already done the shadow highlite routine? It's quite dramatic shot Michael. Is it a big crop? Some detail seems to be missing. If you could brighten the whites a tad and then tickle some contrast out of them would be my thinking for starts. Maybe a little color sat boost on the bg. What ISO?

Fascinating image to view. Visually, it feels confusing as the backlighting from the sun provides one light source. Even with fill flash, the front lighting on the birds feels stronger than fill, and appears to be another "sun" like light source. The shadows and highlights in the wings versus the heads/bodies also feel a bit out of place. It is an interesting image, it is just that it feels visually confusing to my eyes.

I love the interaction, sharpness is pretty good too just some fine feather detail has been lost to NR. This is an extreme back lit situation so there isn't much you could do except for maxing out your fill flash. Overall I like this image given the condition TFS.

Pretty dramatic lighting behind the birds , Makes for a most interesting image of the two Ibis interacting, for such low light I think you managed to catch the essence of it all pretty well

Michael, super interaction between the two, and I like backlighting through the wings. Lovely colours in the BG too.

Hi Michael, it does have a surreal air about it but it is definitely not an unnatural or confusing look.
Great capture of some awesome action.

P.S. I think a catchlight on the left birds eye would make it too unnatural looking.

Very nice light and I like the action captured.
Did you run a NR over the birds?
