We spent some time in the Kgalagadi with a large herd of Springbuck. The males were sparring with each other since the females were going to come in heat again soon, as the birthing period was recently passed. All of a sudden some of the adult females took the whole lot of fawns for a run - possible to practice them for escaping from predators! They ran a long way up the dry river bed, turned around and came back down. All this time the rest of the herd carried on grazing and sparring. Quite a sight.
I captured this shot as they came back towards us...
I've been intrigued with wildlife B&W shots lately, and applied it to this one as well.
Your critiques much appreciated...

Interesting effect with the light concentrated in the centre of the image. Im thinking of a pano here, but it would lose the effect with the darker surroundings, as Ive just mentioned. You have done well with the 100-400 to get them all in the frame. I like the dust from their hooves. Great capture mate.
This is a cool shot Morkel. I like the way some of them are veering off center yet all still heading in the same direction. Must've been fun to witness. I like Peter's pano crop but your darker processing.
