    The steppe buzzard is a summer visitor to South Africa. I took this picture last summer and I am hoping for some more opportunities of these beautiful birds this summer.

    Excellent as presented and as noted above. Kudos to Mork for noting the head angle problem. It they bird had taken off two degrees towards you instead of two degrees away from you, this one would have been way over the top. You were done in by the direction of the breeze (that looked quite gentle at the most). SH and underwing detail superb.
