What a great looking species of woodpecker! Quite striking. What I like abou this image is the opposite leaning angles of the tree and bird, very cool. I wouldn't mind a bit less room at left, but still fine as is. The slowish 1/160s. SS has given the tip of the moving bill some some motion blur, and a bit more sharpnening for web presentation would be good...but overall sharpness is still quite impressive considering being handheld with those techs and focal lenght.
Thanks Daniel
Here is repost with some boost in sharpening , I hope there are no halos

Awesome species! I really like the BG and sharpness. I'm thinking a better HA would be a big improvement, but, great job HH!
All said above, loved the soft light, good BG and Sharpness..
Interesting bird, and good job of capturing it so well hand-held.
I agree about this bird been very striking. In fact it reminds me of our Lineated Woodpecker.
The bark of the tree also looks familiar, may be an Erythrina? (Fabaceae)
