In my "Life In The Lot" series - image #4, I posted this Killdeer picture taken in a Target parking lot. I submitted the picture to the magazine WildBird. The image appears in the recent Nov/Dec edition on page 40 in a section named "Wandering Eye". This is a place where readers submit pictures for publication - that was fun.

Thanks for the positive feedback. Trying to answer a few questions.

The techs are Canon 40D & 400MM 5.6L, HH, ISO 400, f/5.6, 1/250, manual flash using distance method on flash unit. (learned from Chas) Moreover, taking measure bar and adding extra distance beyond subject location and dropping 2 stops)

Rich, I about to ordered an: Eizo ColorEdge CE240CO TFT 240 Wide Screen LCD Display - priced at $1,549.00 - is that a good display? If not, I can still cancel the order.

I have a Canon 7D on order with Hunts Photo for $1,699 (body only). Once it get here I plan to purchase the display and a 500MM for Christmas. Wow, I must be nuts!!!!!!!!

Was fun to see the photo in the WldBird Magazine - thanks again for the support - w/o BPN help it would have not happened..
