This is a terrific image - rich details, depth of color, and appealing composition. The curve on the stem is the perfect touch.
I am not sure about the surface that the seed pod is resting -I like the color but the mottled texture may detract from the may subject. Not sure???
I am curious about the use of the flash. It is a small amount of flash and the shutter is already open for 1/5 sec. Is the function of the flash to lighten the shadows?

Neat looking image Simple and makes you take a second look !!

Not sure about the flash here but at f32 and -2 don't think it had much effect on the image?
Any output would have created a slight shadow by the stem !!

I was playing with different settings and angles, even flash to see what it looks like. Did not have an exact ideea about flash, this one happens to be with flash so I mentioned that. But did learn something from this one...flash was useless:o
