I like the ovrall setting here. The bird looks great against all that foliage. The darks look like they could be darkened more...in Levels try sliding the darks to about 10. I'm also not crazy about the light opening in the leaves behind the egret. You could either crop it out, or fill it in using clone/patch tools.

Thanks Daniel. I dropped the BG mid-levels down 6 points. I don't know why I like the sky patch. I know it distracts somewhat but I'm going to leave it for now. It seems to break up the pattern a bit in a way it gives light and balance to the composition. Some times if things are too perfect - they look too perfect.;)

Hey Bill, its looking better with the midtones adjustment but I still think you can darken the blacks some. As for the patch...it's your image and ultimately your call. You like it and you know why, therefore leave it there :-)

Useing the old reverse psychology trick on me eh - :) ok, I tried it and liked it so it's gone. On the BG how-ever I went into selective colors and bumped the neutral and the blacks to get more contrast. I guess I just don't like it as dark as you might. I think this is my final. Thanks Daniel.
