This is a female warthog, as kindly pointed out by Geurt below. My initial ID was a bushpig, but the link clearly shows otherwise. They kneel down to eat as seen here. Taken in the Kruger National Park in overcast conditions.
Stu, I am not 100% in agreement with the ID in this image. This image shows a female warthog. A bush pig has tufted, pointed ears, longer snout and the upper tusks are not visible except for very old boars. Here is a link with some very clear images from Nigel Dennis to help you with the ID.

Thanks a lot Geurt. I am now in agreement with you. The reddish colour put me on the road to bushpig, as I was inclined to think warthogs are more grey in colour, except after rolling in mud. The lack of warts also led me that way. I appreciate your input. Cheers.
I like the way the hog's mouth is open. Attractive colour tonings through the image. Shame about the long OOF grass in the right foreground, but that's the beauty of wildlife photography … it is what it is.
Hi Stuart,
Interesting grazing technique. Seems like they'd want to stay on their toes with all the predators around. The light and colors go well with the hair on the back.
