Most adorable! Very nice details and sharpness. The BG colors are very complimentary. I love seeing the talon. One eye seems more orange than the other-is this something you have done or is that normal? I'm only asking out of curiosity for the species. Also excellent cloning work of the jessies.

Great light, pose, perch, comp, BG, colors and sharpness, the only nit is that the bird's foot is not fully stepping on the perch.
    Big congratulations!

Hi Denise, something happened to this bird (hit by a car I think) and its one eye was damaged, and hence, the different colours. thanks!

Raymond, Thanks for getting back to me. I am fascinated w/ owls and I think this little one is quite special. Do you know if it will ever be released?

I am sure it will not be released, these birds at the center would never survive in the wild., they all have their "issues", so rather then put them down, they are used extensivly for educational / conservation promotion.

one of the other places I work with has mostly animals, and a few birds. They do 600 different "out-reach" programs a year, with a staff of 6., and also maintain a huge property with a cougar, bear, 2 wolves, wolverine, etc., the place is awesome.

I was up there last week, and shot some "kittens" !! have a look!
