    this was after the elk had stolen a couple of cows on the madison river in Yellowstone from a fellow bull and then storming across the river to make sure they were not leaving him :)

    Nice shot. Well timed. I watched a similar scene last year, but it was past sunset and too dark to record it on anything except for my memory. I believe the spelling is bugle.

    dooh I spelled it wrong again lol... I will get it right some day...

    it was quite a show for sure, they didnt hit each other but they had a pretty large crowd very excited, I had never witnessed it before so I was glad to have seen it

    Nice pose. I also like the BG and the splashing water. I'd darken the face and body fur just a tiny bit. Fun to watch aren't they :)

    Great pose and sense of movement here Jamie... looks like you were wise going to iso1600 to get the shutter speed. :) Did you shoot anything horizontal as well? I think a horizontal might be interesting here to provide more room to the right, etc... just a thought.

    Nice timing on your part, Jamie. I'd like this as a horizontal. giving more room for the bull to move into.

    Always wise to capture the images in both the vertical and horizontal format hope you did the latter.. I like this format. The FG without a better reflection in the water may be cropped a bit for balance..
